Goals.

I never understood how people could watch a movie or read a book, about two people falling in love. Then just sit back at wish that was what they had.

We should never have to wish for something more, if you are unhappy let me just promise you that there is someone out there who will give you the fucking world at a drop of a hat.

You will find someone who is willing not to just bend over backwards for you, but to give up even a part of themselves for you. You will find the person who will hold you even when you didn’t know yourself that that was all you needed.

You will find someone who will have dinner cooked and a glass of wine ready, not because you asked. But because they just like surprising you.

You will find someone who will rub your feet and massage that aching back for you any time and sometimes for no reason other than they like making you feel good.

You will find that person who you can single out of a crowded room as if there was no one else there. You will find that person who makes your heart race even after the millionth time you’ve seen them.

This is coming from someone who has found that person. When you know, you’ll know.

Thankful.

As you can see, I’m obviously one lucky guy. In fact, I would be willing to boast that I am hands down, the luckiest man in the world thanks to her.

She is my Raven, my Queen, my Goddess, my Soulmate, my Thunder, my Teacher, my Lover. . And my Best friend.

Within the next few days it’ll be Thanksgiving, and the turkeys will be served all across America.

But. .

Every single day with you, is a day to be thankful for.

I love you.

Breath of Fall.

A soft pink petal falls slowly to the ground.

My shaking fingers pluck it from the grass and gently caress it as if it once drew breath.

The wind sings a final gusty note of a song that has long played for the world.

Eyes scan the scene that was once a brilliant and fiery red sunset over the plains of the heart.

However the dull stain of milky blue washes over the land.

Once soft pink petals now ashen in appearance and abrasive in texture, fall now like waves of dead snow.

And as twilight settles again on this heart, so too does the land grow dark.

The Devil Walking.

The Devil doesn’t wear a black suit with slicked back hair. The Devil isn’t a red monster with horns. He wears jeans and baggy sweaters. He is a butcher and surgeon.

The Devil is sleep deprived sex appeal, with “I just woke up” hair tousled to one side. It’s French Vanilla coffee breath and a cigarette hanging low from the mouth. He’s fresh cologne and a tooth brush in hand. He’s yawning to reveal his happy trail and a tattooed left arm stretched towards the sky.

The Devil isn’t evil, but he is bad. He’s bad for you. He is the heart breaker and the rose tinter. He will end you with just one look and keep walking until he finds his true Queen.

Uncle.

Ever since I was small, you have always been there. Year after year, you never missed a Christmas and you never missed a birthday. You were always here to make sure I’m okay and to talk for hours. Every time I would get to see you, you never knew how much I didn’t care about leaving to play games. But rather just sit with you and talk, because to you I was never just some kid. I was your family and you treated me like an adult. Your stories were legendary and always made me laugh, the tales of my parents before they were my parents gave a whole new romance to the one I’ve always known. I will always love and look forward to our 2 a.m. talks. Blood is not the only thing that makes people family. Love, loyalty, respect and caring is what makes you and I family. I love you Uncle, I always have and I always will.
